China’s New Art, Post-1989 (Jan. 31–Feb. 14 at Hong Kong City Hall, Pao Galleries, and Hong Kong Arts Centre) is held. The exhibition introduces artworks crated after the second Tiananmen Square Incident. Works of cynical realism and political pop receive attention. The exhibition tours to Taipei, Sidney, London, Vancouver, and five cities in the United States, including Eugene.
