Inside Out: New Chinese Art is held (Sept. 15– Jan. 3, 1999) at Asia Society and P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center (present-day MoMA PS1) in New York. The exhibition tours to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Asian Art Museum, as well as the Museo de Art Contemporañeo in Monterrey and Tacoma Art Museum, Mexico, and other museums.
