The 1st Young Asian Artists Exhibition is held from November 12 to 17 at the Shibuya Toyoko, Tokyo, by the Japan Cultural Forum. The Fleischmann Prize is given to V. S. Gaitonde and Huang Leisheng and the Stralem Prize to Ramachandra V. Savant, But Mochatar, and Mohammed Kibria.
