Exceptional Passage: Chinese Avant-garde Artists (Aug. 29–Sep. 29 at the Mitsubishi-Jisho Artium, Fukuoka, and Sep. 1–30 at Kashii former train yard, Fukuoka) is held, organized by the Museum City Project, curated by Fei Dawei. The exhibition becomes the first full-scale exhibition of Chinese contemporary art, including large outdoor installation, in Japan and has a nationwide impact.
