China Avant-Garde (Jan. 30–May 16 at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin) is held. The exhibition tours to the Kunsthal Rotterdam, the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, and the Kunsthallen Brandts Klædefabrik (Denmark), becoming the first large-scale exhibition of Chinese contemporary art.
