Content
The Birth of Modern Art in Southeast Asia: Artists and Movements (May 9–Jun. 8 at Fukuoka Art Museum) is held. The exhibition is the first large-scale exhibition in Japan that introduces modern art from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The exhibition tours to Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum (Jun. 17–Jul. 13), Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art (Jul. 19–Aug. 31), and Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum (Sep. 6–Oct. 12).
