The Long March Project is founded by Qiu Zhijie and Lu Jie. The project retraces the historical Long March—the 100,000 km retreat of China’s Red Army from Ruijin, Jiangxi Province, to Yan’an, Shaanxi Province, while performing various art activities. The group moves its base to Beijing in 2003.
